Time to Drive? Stay Alive!

Driving your fancy vehicle could be fun. It needs a lot of focus, attention and more importantly discipline. Unsafe driving can put your life and many other lives in danger. Here are some useful tips to keep in mind.

  • Make sure you fill-up before any long drive or a road trip. This could save a lot of time. Make sure you check your tire pressure, gas tank and fluid levels of the vehicle before you begin your journey.
  • Do not speed. It’s not just your life. Speeding will not only end your life but the lives of other passengers, pedestrians and other drivers.
  • Make sure you’re physically as well as emotionally stable to drive your vehicle. Do not drive drowsy or after a sleepless night or an exhausting day.
  • Watch the weather. Be prepared.
  • Know the proper road rules and respect other drivers on the road.
  • Avoid any distractions such as texting and eating while driving. Never use a cellphone while driving.
  • Pull over if you feel like doing so. If you need some rest during a long drive, make a stop (every 2 hours is recommended). Don’t force yourself to drive if your mind is not ready.
  • Have company during a long drive, especially in the night. This could prevent many unfortunate accidents.
  • Always use turn signals before you make a turn.
  • Never drink and drive.
  • Maintain a 2 second gap between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you.
  • Buckle up. Wear seat-belts at all times when the vehicle is in motions.
